Bill of Rights

 

We, the thousands of working people who are members of the Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA), AFT Local 6732, proclaim these rights for ourselves and our fellow employees wherever they are employed and whatever their positions.

 

1.                 The right to be treated with dignity and respect in our employment.

2.                 The right to be paid a living wage and reasonable compensation for what we do.

Chapter 48 Classification Stewards

It is the intention of the Executive Board to have at least one classification steward from each of the following classification groups: School Support, Custodial, Trades, Nutrition Services, Technical & Information Support, Office Support, Business Support, and Transportation.

 

Individuals willing to serve our chapter as classification stewards will complete the required training and be appointed by the Executive Board. All Classification Stewards shall be Active Members in Good Standing.

The Paraprofessional and School-Related Personnel (PSRP) division of the American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO, represents more than 350,000 school support staff in K-12 districts, colleges and universities.
