As an active member of our local chapter, I was thrilled to get the phone call from the OSEA office telling me I was one of the winners of the Lou Gerber Scholarship Award for 2013 for our zone. I am very interested in continuing my education and applied for the mini-grants and scholarships through OSEA this year in hopes of getting some money to help pay for my classes. I have been as active OSEA member since 2000 and have been employed with the Beaverton School District since the fall of 2005. I am so honored to be given this scholarship and opportunity and to serve as a steward and work site representative for Merlo Station High School for the past seven years. Thanks OSEA for this wonderful opportunity to continue my education.
