Menasha Teacher's Union Scholarship

Each year Menasha Teacher's Union presents the  MTU Greg Weyenberg Scholarship for $500 to a graduating Menasha High School student or any graduating student with parent who is a current MTU member.

 

 

 

44th ANNUAL DELEGATE CONFERENCE SATURDAY MARCH 14, 2015

The NCSEAPWA AFT Local 6181 will be holding its Annual Conference on MARCH 14, 2015, at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel, 55 Commercial Way, Fallon, NV 89406.  The Annual Delegate Conference is where we conduct our business for the upcoming year.  This year we have election of State Officers as well as presentation of a balanced budget and any resolutions to the Constitution/by-laws.  A voting delegate is selected from the leadership from each Chapter and must be a member in good standing.  Each Chapter is entitled to one delegate for every 50 members or a portion thereof plus the president or

EDMN Legislative Dinner

On January 29th, EDMN sponsored a legislative dinner with local union leaders and their district legislators.
About 10 legislators attended, representing the school districts of White Bear Lake, Stillwater, Roseville, Mounds View, and North Saint Paul.  The dinner was held at Jimmy's in Vadnais Heights.

English gives remarks on threats to teacher diversity

AFT-Maryland President Marietta English delivered impassioned remarks at the National Press Club on Tuesday Morning. The program, sponsored by The American Federation of Teachers and Howard University School of Education, examined the impact federal policy has on teacher diversity.

EMUFT will offer informational sessions about upcoming elections and a dues rate increase, proposed by the EMUFT Union Council.
