Thousands of FREE BOOKS
for Beaverton kids on Saturday, June 4th!!
Great news! The Oregon School Employees Association and OSEA Beaverton Chapter 48 are partnering with First Book to bring 20,000 brand new books to children in Beaverton, OR. We have brand new books for all kids, from age 0-18!

What do I need to do to pick up free books on Saturday?
Just show up! Please note the event information and important details below so you'll know where to go and what to bring with you.
We will need volunteers the day of the event, please be sure to sign up on Saturday.
Beaverton Book Distribution
When: Saturday, June 4th
from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
(Refreshments will be provided throughout the day for volunteers)
Where: William Walker Elementary School (gym)
11940 SW Lynnfield Lane, Portland, OR 97225
Important distribution details:
- If you are not already registered with First Book you may register at the William Walker on Saturday.
- Books are available on a first come, first served basis, so arrive early!
- Each member of the First Book network will be able to select 30 books to take home on Saturday. Any books that are not distributed on Saturday will be given directly to the children in the Beaverton area through community partner organizations such as SHINE, The Sunshine Pantry, Community Action Head Start and Beaverton School District Summer Meals Programs.
- Please bring your own boxes, baskets, rolling suitcases, or bags for your books. They are heavier than you may think!
- All educators and program staff receiving books must be registered with First Book.
- Individuals or families may register and pick up 3 books per child at the event.
These books are being brought to Beaverton thanks to a partnership among the OSEA, OSEA Beaverton Chapter 48, and First Book.
