On April 19th 5:30 to 8:30 and April 20th 8:30 to 12:30, I will be conducting a Steward Training for interested members of the Beaverton Chapter 48.  The training will take place at the Transportation Services Center.  The Chapter will be providing dinner and breakfast/snacks at the appropriate sessions.

Anyone that is a member and is interested in learning more about representing their fellow union members and co-workers can attend this fun, informative training.  If you attend, you will learn the skills that a Steward needs to represent, educate, investigate and identify contract violations.  We will also discuss the difference between a contract violation that constitutes a grievance or a complaint and how do we address those situations.

If you are currently an OSEA trained Steward of you chapter, you are welcome to attend, brush up on your skills and maybe even share with everyone how you have applied your skills as a Steward.

Please RSVP with Kim Bonner at kim@osea.org by Tuesday, April 16th.  Please be prepared to attend both sessions from beginning to end to receive a certificate of completion. We will need a minimum of five participants for this training.  If more than thirty members RSVP, a waiting list will be created and second training will be scheduled promptly.
