Dear OSEA Members,

On behalf of the Clothes Closet Advisory Board and volunteers, I would like to thank you for the very generous donation of $500 on December 17, 2014.

Please know that 100% of all monetary donations are invested back into the program through the purchase of high demand items that are either not donated or are hard to keep on hand. There are no overhead or administrative fees taken from these funds. Your donation of $500 will go a long way to purchase items such as new socks and underwear, shoes or other high needed items.

There have been several questions regarding the status of negotiations.  The list of issues we have taken to the table originated largely from the classified staff survey and classification meetings held on October 19, 2014.

Understand that the list below is only a highlight reel of the issues being discusses. exact language cannot be shared as the contract has not been finalized and agreed upon.

Thank you for your support and encouragement during the past year.  I hope that you will continue to support the 2013-14 Chapter executive board by attending Chapter meetings and participating in Chapter committees.  The more members who participate the more effective the Chapter can be in delivering the kind of representation the membership deserves.  The more you participate the more the Chapter reflects you.  Please help us to shape a better workplace, a better community, and a better world.

As Beaverton Chapter 48 is the largest chapter in the state it is almost impossible to hold a 

function and include all of the 1687 classified staff members, so our Executive Board and Field 

Rep went out to them during Classified Appreciation Week and delivered specially ordered For- 

tune Cookies Monday through Thursday.
